Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Begin your new journey
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is a process of Christian formation offered to those who seek to become Catholic.
The initiation of new members is a gradual process allowing enquirers time to grow in faith and become full participants of the Catholic community. The catechumenal journey or RCIA process is marked by three major liturgical rites. These rites act as key gateways along the way. Each major rite is preceded and followed by a period of maturing faith.
RCIA this year begins on 17th September 2024 at 7pm-8:30pm at St. Patrick’s Parish office. Please contact Ann Woodhouse if you are interested, it’s still not too late to join!
Be nourished
During your time of enquiry you will have an introduction to the Gospel of Jesus Christ which will open up an opportunity for the beginnings of faith. The journey of RCIA involves growth in faith and conversion to God through prayer, catechesis and fellowship.
Please contact the parish to find out when our next RCIA session begins.
